https://doi.org/10.1016/j.puhe.2015.12.001Get rights and content

Highlights

  • Local authority health professionals perceive climate change as a risk to health in the UK.

  • They take responsive measures to combat short-term threats, but are less confident regarding long-term.

  • There is a gap between national research and policy and local needs.

  • Reframing is useful to advance health-related adaptation in local authorities.
